Duro Textile’s Litelok material is enough of a step forward in fabric to warrant a redesign of products to make use of it. It’s 30% lighter than 500D Cordura. We stripped the MCH Hydration Carrier down to its base and trimmed it down, redesigning the seams to do away with the binding tape and lowering the profile even more. This created a very lightweight 3 liter hydration carrier, weighing in at only 3 7/8 ounces. It is also a little narrower than our MCH Hydration Carrier at 6 ¼ inches, and is about 18 ¼ inches long. There is a grommetted drain hole in the bottom of the pouch, a Velcro closed reservoir hanger inside, and pattern matched soft-side Multicam Velcro on the flap of the lid for patches and GLINT tape tabs. Of course, we kept the 1/8” shock cord daisy chain on the face for securing lightweight items like clothing. The carrier without reservoir weighs just 3 ¾ ounces.
The Litelok MCH Hydration Carrier is currently available in any color you want as long as it’s Multicam. As with all ATS brand gear, it’s made in the USA using only American labor, materials and hardware. It’s covered by the ATS lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship. |
